
Strive to "finish" as planned
Taking advantage of the dry weather, at this time, irrigation construction companies in the city are speeding up dredging canals, repairing irrigation canals, and suction canals behind pumping stations.
At the Khue canal dredging package in Tien Lang commune, Tien Lang Irrigation Works Exploitation One Member Co., Ltd. is rushing to complete the last sections. Mr. Nguyen Tri Dung, Chairman of the company, said that the Khue canal dredging package, which is over 2 km long, has reached more than 80% of the dredging and embankment volume.
An Hai Irrigation Works Exploitation One Member Co., Ltd. is also constructing dredging and embankment projects on Hoa Phong canal. Mr. Tran Quang Hoat, Chairman of the company, informed: the canal dredging projects to be carried out in 2025 will be implemented by the company.
Construction, striving to exceed the plan, put into operation soon, ensuring water source for winter-spring crop production in time.

At the canal projects managed by the Hai Duong , Vinh Bao, Tien Lang, Thuy Nguyen, and Da Do Irrigation Works Exploitation LLCs, the units are also speeding up the dredging progress. In particular, the dredging projects of Hon Ngoc, Kien Bai Tay, Thai Lai, Dong Do, Gia culvert, Noi vuon... constructed by Thuy Nguyen Irrigation Works Exploitation LLC are also determined to be completed in December 2025.

Ensure adequate water supply for production
According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, in 2025, the City People's Committee decided to allocate more than VND 84.5 billion to the irrigation systems: An Kim Hai, Da Do, Thuy Nguyen, Tien Lang, Vinh Bao to carry out 68 projects of dredging canals and repairing irrigation canals and suction canals after electric pumping stations.
The canal and electric pumping station projects have been appraised and approved by the Department, and assigned to irrigation enterprises as investors.
Through inspection and monitoring, up to this point, the units have basically ensured the set progress, in which some early construction projects have been basically completed. The remaining projects are being implemented. "The Department continues to monitor and urge the units to complete before December 31, 2025 to put into operation and serve the winter-spring crop production in time" - Mr. Bui Hung Thien, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment informed.
Along with efforts to speed up the construction progress of renovation and repair of irrigation works in the area assigned by the city, irrigation enterprises have also proactively washed away salt water, bringing new water sources to serve farmers preparing land for sowing rice seedlings for winter-spring rice crop. At the same time, ensuring timely water supply to winter and spring crop production areas to avoid interruption.
Mr. Do Van Trai, Chairman of Da Do Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited, said that along with renovating and repairing irrigation works, the company requires irrigation stations to promptly pump water to localities for agricultural production and to supply domestic water to water plants in the area.
The company also coordinated with the People's Committees of communes and towns to expand the canal bed and banks of Da Do canal and level 1 canals and many irrigation canals after pumping stations in districts managed by the company to increase the capacity to store water for production and people's lives in the dry season for localities in the Da Do system; pump water to serve flooding for more than 5,000 hectares of highland production land of communes and wards in districts: Kien An, Duong Kinh, Do Son, An Lao, Kien Thuy before.
Completing and putting into operation irrigation works before December 31, 2025 will not only contribute to improving the operational capacity of the canal system, but also promptly providing water resources for the 2025-2026 winter-spring crop production in localities.
