Texhong Hai Ha Industrial Park has a total area of 660 hectares, with a total investment of over VND 4,500 billion, invested by Hai Ha Industrial Park Vietnam Co., Ltd. Up to now, the industrial park has attracted 19 secondary projects with a total investment of over USD 1.4 billion. In addition to the textile and garment sector, many mechanical, electronic and supporting industry enterprises have also invested, creating a closed, modern and sustainable production chain.

Since its inception, the issue of environmental protection has always been a top priority for the investor of Texhong Hai Ha Industrial Park. The industrial park has invested in a centralized wastewater treatment system with a total design capacity of 175,000m³/day and night, divided into 3 independent modules. Currently, 2 modules, with a total capacity of 30,000m³/day and night, have been operating stably and have been granted an environmental license by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment , fully meeting Vietnam's standards on industrial wastewater. On average, each day, the entire area treats about 16,000m³ of wastewater generated from textile dyeing, fiber production, mechanical and electronic factories.
Mr. Wuxian Hong, Deputy General Director of Hai Ha Industrial Park Co., Ltd. said: Accompanying Quang Ninh province in the orientation of developing clean, environmentally friendly industry and converting to green energy, Hai Ha Industrial Park has been allowed to put the Environmental Protection Science and Technology Project into trial operation. The project has the ability to treat sludge to produce steam and use steam to generate electricity. This is a production model applied according to the circular economy . We are also planning to apply for conversion of the construction policy of the 2,100MW coal-fired power plant project into a new energy power plant project.
In order to protect the ecological environment, many industrial parks in the province are also being planned and developed in a green - clean - modern direction. The province requires all new industrial parks to have a centralized wastewater treatment system that meets standards, green space accounting for at least 10% of the total area, and an automatic environmental monitoring system. Enterprises are encouraged to use renewable energy, recycle industrial water and apply energy-saving technology in production. Thanks to that, the industrial picture of Quang Ninh is increasingly clear towards a sustainable, synchronous and responsible production ecosystem.

Along with modern industrial zones is the strong transformation of the coal industry in environmental protection. If in the past, open-pit mining was the main method, now the whole industry is gradually limiting open-pit mining, strongly shifting to modern, mechanized and automated underground mining. The goal is to both improve productivity, ensure labor safety, and minimize the impact on the environment and natural landscape.
Along with that, in recent years, units of the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group have invested thousands of billions of VND in environmental protection projects: closed coal conveyor systems, closed screening stations, misting to suppress dust, mine wastewater treatment and greening of waste dumps. Many areas after mining have been renovated, restored, planted with trees, forming ecological lakes, green areas and new residential areas.

Other industries such as cement and thermal power in Quang Ninh are also strongly shifting towards green production. Typically, at Lam Thach Cement Factory under Quang Ninh Cement and Construction Joint Stock Company, they have recently invested in a new generation bag dust filter system worth more than 70 billion VND, helping to reduce dust concentration to 20mg/Nm3, much lower than the prescribed standard. Lam Thach Cement also processes common industrial waste at the clinker kiln - this technology turns waste into heat energy, partially replacing coal dust, and at the same time, condensing ash residue into clinker products, contributing to reducing landfill and protecting the environment.
The Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term clearly defined the goal of transforming the growth model from “brown” to “green”, promoting clean industry, circular economy and renewable energy, towards a sustainable economic development. Realizing that orientation, from modern environmental treatment infrastructure to large-scale energy conversion projects, Quang Ninh is gradually creating a modern, environmentally friendly industry, linking economic growth with sustainable values and quality of life of people.
