Realize targets and tasks right from the beginning of the term, to create momentum to break through with the province to achieve goals in the new term.

Developing sustainable forestry associated with ecotourism is one of the key tasks identified by the Party Committee of Ky Thuong commune in the Resolution for the 2025-2030 term. The commune focuses on preserving and promoting the value of forests, combining planting medicinal plants under the forest canopy; at the same time, improving the quality of planted forests, maintaining and increasing the forest cover rate. In the last term, the total area of planted forests in the commune reached more than 5,300 hectares, with a coverage rate of about 65%. Entering the new term, the Party Committee of the commune aims to increase the forest cover rate to over 70%, contributing to protecting the ecological environment and promoting sustainable tourism development.
Mr. Chu Van Ly, a resident of Bac Tap village, is one of the households assigned to manage a large forest area of 20 hectares, mainly planted with acacia. After storm No. 3 ( Yagi ) in 2024, his family's entire forest area was severely damaged. Undaunted, Mr. Ly quickly overcame difficulties, regenerated and restored the entire forest area. Up to now, his family's acacia forest is growing well, contributing to increasing the forest cover of the commune as well as the province.

In addition to restoring the forest area affected by storm Yagi, Ky Thuong commune is focusing on planning a sustainable forestry development area and agroforestry under the forest canopy. This is the direction that the Party Committee of the commune has determined since the beginning of its term, with the goal of combining forest protection, living off the forest, and rationally exploiting the forest to get rich. In addition to forestry, the commune has begun to form ecological agricultural models, raising hill chickens, mountain goats, and growing native tea. Some households have initially approached community tourism, ecotourism to experience nature and Dao ethnic culture.
Mr. Ban Van Vi, Party Cell Secretary, Head of Khe Phuong village, said: "Since the Am Vap Farm community tourism model was established, the number of tourists coming to visit and experience on weekends has increased. Many tourists expressed their satisfaction and enjoyment with the space and services here." According to Mr. Vi, after the two-level government organization was completed, the Am Vap Farm community tourism model continued to receive attention and high appreciation from the Ky Thuong commune government. This is considered one of the important highlights in developing community tourism associated with preserving local nature and culture.

In the new term, the commune also focuses on shifting the economic and labor structure, promoting rapid and sustainable economic development. Many economic models of livestock and crop farming with high economic value have replaced ineffective models. The commune pays attention to and creates conditions for the development of the private and household economy, and supports the consumption of products. At the same time, mobilizes and effectively uses all resources to complete the synchronous and modern socio-economic infrastructure, increases regional and provincial connectivity, on which many new rural roads have also been completed.
Mr. Ninh Duong, Dong Tien village, shared: I have done many agricultural jobs, freelance work but the income is not stable. After being introduced by many people and learning by myself, I decided to switch to the bamboo rat farming model. I found this model to be very effective, self-sufficient food, and the farming techniques are not too difficult. After deducting expenses, my family earns 200-250 million VND a year. Since raising bamboo rats, my family's economy has improved a lot.

Currently, Ky Thuong commune has no poor households, only 3 near-poor households. The average income per capita reaches 72.1 million VND/year. In the next term, the commune aims to achieve an average income per capita of over 100 million VND/year, aiming to build Ky Thuong into a "green - sustainable - unique" locality.
Mr. Pham The Hien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Ky Thuong commune, said: To complete the goals of the Party Congress of the commune for the term 2025-2030, we are determined to carry out tasks in planning and economic development focused on the commune, in which we guide people to develop forestry and ecological economy, thereby promoting the local advantages of land, forests, medicinal plants and OCOP products so that people can participate in responding and improving their lives. be lifted up.
