Musician Hoang Dung and "Future Aspirations"

(GLO)- After 5 years of incubation, musician and singer Hoang Ngoc Dung (stage name Hoang Dung, born in 1988) - member of the Vietnam Musicians Association, Vice President of the Music Association (Gia Lai Province Literature and Arts Association) has just released the song collection Future Aspiration, including 25 new songs composed by him.

This is the second collection of songs composed by musician Hoang Dung, following his release of the song collection "Homeland Love Songs" in July 2020 - which won the B prize in the music category of the 6th Dao Tan-Xuan Dieu Literature and Art Award (2016-2020).

While "Homeland Love Songs" is filled with melodies brimming with nostalgia and love for one's homeland, "Aspiration for the Future" opens up a new space – where the past and present intertwine, looking towards a bright future for the homeland and the country.

Born into a family with a tradition in the arts, Hoang Dung developed a passion for music from a young age. He turned to songwriting to capture the simple sounds of life around him.

In "Aspiration for the Future," listeners encounter songs about the homeland, the armed forces, and the professions that are contributing to the country's renewed vitality. Songs such as "Saint Tran," "Phu Gia Horse Hat," "Van Canh in a New Era," and "Gia Lai Aspiration for the Future"... are deeply rooted in tradition, written with pride and gratitude.

He confided: "Music is not just for entertainment, but also a way to preserve memories and inspire feelings about my homeland and patriotism. That simple concept is the 'thread' that runs through my creative journey, from my first songs to the day I hold in my hands a new album—the culmination of many years of artistic work."

What is admirable about composer Hoang Dung is his unwavering commitment to traditional songs amidst an increasingly diverse musical landscape. He knows how to modernize melodies and arrangements while still preserving the folk spirit, especially the sounds of Central and Central Highlands regions, making his works even more relatable to listeners.

"Aspiration for the Future" is not just 25 songs; it's a symphony of love, of faith in people and homeland. Each melody is a call from traditional sounds, a historical ballad filled with love and pride for the homeland, shining brightly in a new day. It is from these simple things that he has sown the sound of a musical soul and love for his homeland, becoming one.

"I only hope that my music can contribute a small part to remind people of their homeland and the good things in life," composer Hoang Dung confided.
