Musician Hoang Dung and "Future Aspirations"

(GLO)- After 5 years of incubation, musician and singer Hoang Ngoc Dung (stage name Hoang Dung, born in 1988) - member of the Vietnam Musicians Association, Vice President of the Music Association (Gia Lai Province Literature and Arts Association) has just released the song collection Future Aspiration, including 25 new songs composed by him.

This is the second collection of songs composed by musician Hoang Dung, after he released the collection of songs Khuc tu tinh que huong in July 2020 - winning the B prize in the music category of the 6th Dao Tan-Xuan Dieu Literature and Arts Award (2016-2020).

If Khuc tu tinh que huong is a melody filled with nostalgia and love for the homeland and country, Khat vong tuong lai opens up a new space - where the past and present blend, towards the bright future of the homeland and country.

Born into a family of traditional artists, Hoang Dung was passionate about music from an early age. He came to composing to record the simple sounds of life around him.

In Future Aspirations, listeners encounter songs about the homeland, the armed forces, and the professions that are contributing to the country's new vitality. Songs such as: Duc Thanh Tran, Phu Gia horse hat, Van Canh new day, Gia Lai future aspiration... carry a strong traditional sound, written with all pride and gratitude.

He confided: “Music is not only for entertainment but also a way to preserve memories, inspire about the homeland, about patriotism. That simple concept is the “string” that runs through my creative path, from the first songs until the day I hold in my hands a new album - the result of many years of artistic labor.”

What is valuable about musician Hoang Dung is his steadfastness with traditional songs in the midst of an increasingly diverse musical life. He knows how to renew melodies and arrange them in a more modern way while still maintaining the folk spirit, especially the Central Highlands sound, making his works more easily accessible to people.

Future Aspirations is not only 25 songs, it is also a harmony of love, of faith in people and homeland. Each melody is the call of traditional sounds, epic with love, pride of homeland shining bright in the new day. It is from these simple things that he has sown the sound of a musical soul and love of homeland combined into one.

"I just hope my music contributes a small part to help people remember their homeland and the good things in life," musician Hoang Dung confided.
