Inspired by the movie "Red Rain", the song was written as a message from young soldiers to the rear. Musician Nguyen Hung composed the song while living in the barracks in Cu Chi, during the process of studying the script to prepare for the role of Hai - a soldier fighting at Quang Tri Citadel. When he finished writing the chorus, he burst into tears with emotion.

With its simple, emotional lyrics (“After so many years, there will be a day of peace…”, “The war will end if my child has not returned…”), the song attracted attention even before the film was released. Although not the official soundtrack, the song still became a highlight of “Red Rain” and appeared frequently on stages celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2. The song also won the Inspirational Music Award at the Vietnam iContent Awards 2025 alongside Bac Bling.

Pain in Peace

As the main theme song of the movie "Red Rain", the song expresses the pain of mothers and wives whose loved ones died on the battlefield. Many viewers said they burst into tears when the song played at the end of the movie. Director Dang Thai Huyen chose the song because of its humanistic message and Hoa Minzy's emotional voice.

Musician Nguyen Van Chung spent nearly a week researching the film to nurture his creative inspiration and complete the song in just three hours. In the studio, while singing the climax, Hoa Minzy broke down in tears, moving the crew. The MV recreates the image of a wife whose husband participated in the 81-day battle to protect Quang Tri Citadel, leaving many emotions for viewers.
