Flooding is expected to continue.

At Kim Long station on the Huong River, the water level measured at 11 a.m. was +4.60m, 1.1m higher than alarm level III. At Da Vien station, the water level also remained at +4.37m, continuing at a very high level.

On Bo River, Phu Oc station recorded +4.77m, exceeding alarm level III (4.5m) by about 0.27m; while Tu Phu station reached +4.43m, approximately close to the highest alarm threshold.

The reservoir has a large regulating discharge, with a total flow of nearly 6,000 m³/s. Three large hydroelectric reservoirs on the upper reaches of the Huong River - Huong Dien, Binh Dien and Ta Trach - are all operating to discharge through spillways and generate electricity.

Huong Dien Lake reached a water level of +57.72m, discharging downstream 1,968 m³/s, nearly equal to the incoming flow.

Binh Dien Lake maintains water level +85.00m, discharge 2,170 m³/s.

Ta Trach Lake, the main regulating structure of the Huong River, recorded +46.86m, discharging 2,257 m³/s. The total discharge to the downstream reached nearly 6,400 m³/s, of which the water flowing to the Huong River accounted for the majority.

All reservoirs are below normal flood elevation, indicating that flood storage capacity remains but is approaching safe operating limits.

Currently, all 15 gates of Thao Long Dam are kept open. To ensure quick flood discharge, Thao Long Dam - a project to control salinity and keep fresh water at the end of Huong River has opened all 15/15 gates since the night of October 27 until now. The water level before and after the dam is small, showing that the flood discharge capacity is being maximized. Flood warning for downstream areas when the water level of Huong River and Bo River both exceed alarm level III.

Authorities recommend that people limit travel through flooded roads, proactively move assets and livestock to higher places; at the same time, continue to monitor flood discharge information and water levels through official channels and the Hue-S application to promptly respond.

Meanwhile, with the current situation, according to the city's Hydrometeorological Station, severe and prolonged flooding in the downstream of rivers, low-lying areas, and urban areas is still occurring. The risk of flash floods and landslides is high in mountainous areas, steep slopes, and along streams...
