Accordingly, due to the impact of prolonged heavy rains, the soil and rocks on the hillside were waterlogged and the structure was weak, leading to many locations on National Highway 28, the section from Km47 to Km53, suffering serious landslides. At Km50+950, a large amount of soil, rocks and trees spilled onto the road surface, causing local traffic congestion. Meanwhile, at Km47+252 and Km51+750, landslides occurred on the negative slope, posing a potential safety risk to passing vehicles.

Immediately after the incident, the Provincial Road Maintenance Management Board mobilized forces and vehicles, coordinated with the construction unit to urgently clear rocks and soil, clear drainage ditches, and level the road surface. Thanks to that, by 11:30 a.m. on October 28, vehicles were able to circulate again on National Highway 28.

Currently, the units are still maintaining 24/7 on-site forces, continuing to handle the remaining landslides, and installing warning signs and reflective posts to ensure traffic safety, especially in the still complicated weather conditions.
