According to records, the landslide occurred on a grade IV mountainous road, with an asphalt concrete surface, 9m wide base, 7m wide road surface, including two mixed lanes without a median strip.
On the right side of the route is a positive slope with a concrete drainage ditch, on the left side is a negative slope with a retaining wall and protective railing made of corrugated iron.

Due to the effects of prolonged heavy rain, weak roadbed, and long-term water seepage, the road surface has sunk and cracked about 30m long, with a crack width of 3-5cm and an average subsidence of 20-25cm, affecting traffic safety on the route.

This is a section of the project to improve and upgrade National Highway 20 through Mimosa Pass and some related works, invested by Project Management Board 85.
Currently, Lam Dong Provincial Road Maintenance Management Board is coordinating with the construction unit to clear drainage ditches, reinforce slopes, patch potholes and handle cracks and subsidence.

Mr. Pham Van Thai Binh said, immediately after discovering the cracked and sunken road surface, we directed the contractor to arrange forces and machinery to be on duty 24/7 to monitor the situation and promptly handle it, ensuring smooth traffic.
Currently, the repair work is being urgently deployed, striving to completely restore the road surface as soon as possible, ensuring safety for people and vehicles traveling through the Dran Pass area.

Along with that, 886 - Thanh Nam Construction Investment Joint Stock Company (the regular maintenance unit of National Highway 20) has increased monitoring, warning and supporting vehicles to pass safely, while continuing to carefully inspect and evaluate the current status of the roadbed to propose a definitive solution.
