Units urgently handle and fix landslides to ensure traffic safety.

According to records, the landslide occurred at the location from Km 262+500 to Km 262+530 on a grade IV mountainous road section, with an asphalt concrete surface structure, 9m wide base, 7m wide road surface, including two mixed lanes without a median strip.

On the right side of the route is a positive slope with a concrete drainage ditch, on the left side is a negative slope with a retaining wall and protective railing made of corrugated iron.

Units assigned forces to be on duty and guide traffic to ensure safety.

Due to the effects of prolonged heavy rain, weak roadbed, and long-term water seepage, the road surface has sunk and cracked about 30m long, with a crack width of 3-5cm and an average subsidence of 20-25cm, affecting traffic safety on the route.

This is a section of the project to improve and upgrade National Highway 20 through Mimosa Pass and some related works, invested by Project Management Board 85.

Currently, Lam Dong Provincial Road Maintenance Management Board is coordinating with the construction unit to clear drainage ditches, reinforce slopes, patch potholes and handle cracks and subsidence points.

A large amount of rock and soil slid from the positive slope onto the road, causing traffic disruption.

Mr. Pham Van Thai Binh said: Immediately after discovering the cracked and sunken road surface, the unit directed the contractor to arrange forces and machinery to be on duty 24/7 to monitor the situation and promptly handle it, ensuring smooth traffic.
