Hoang Nghia Phat is an 8th grade student at Tien Thanh Secondary School. He has leukemia and is currently in his third round of chemotherapy. His family is poor, his parents are factory workers, and their income is just enough to cover their daily expenses.
Since Phat got sick, his father had to quit his job to take care of him at the Ho Chi Minh City Blood Transfusion and Hematology Hospital. His mother had to work and take care of the family. Not only that, the family also has a 63-year-old grandmother and two young children (the eldest son is in 9th grade; the second daughter is a twin, in 8th grade, the same class as Phat). The family is currently staying with relatives.

Sympathizing and sharing with Phat's family's situation, the program mobilized philanthropists to join hands in supporting more than 128 million VND (of which more than 58 million VND was allocated for Phat's family to use for medical examination and treatment, the remaining 70 million VND was saved for his long-term treatment).

This is a valuable source of support, helping the family have more money for treatment, giving Phat more faith and hope to overcome and soon return to school.
