In the 2025 - 2030 term, the Party Committee of Dam Rong 4 commune identified ensuring national defense - security, political stability, social order and safety and consolidating the great national unity bloc as a particularly important task. According to comrade Tran Phu Vinh - Secretary of the Commune Party Committee, this is the fundamental factor, deciding all development goals of the locality. With the proportion of ethnic minorities accounting for over 90%, Dam Rong 4 identified maintaining stability in the ethnic minority area as the first key task. Immediately after the merger, the locality has stepped up propaganda and dissemination of the Party and State's policies and guidelines on developing ethnic minority areas; effectively implemented sustainable poverty reduction programs, preserved and promoted traditional culture. The government also mobilized people to innovate their thinking, exploit potentials, and combine support policies well to create motivation to rise up.
Dam Rong 4 commune currently has nearly 33,000 hectares of forest (not including the area handed over by the Da Nhim Forest Management Board). The forests here are not only "green lungs" that maintain ecological balance, but also a natural wall to prevent natural disasters and an essential source of livelihood for thousands of ethnic minority households. According to the leaders of Dam Rong 4 commune, people are attached to the forest like flesh and blood. They were born from the forest, grew up thanks to the forest and when they die, they return to the forest. However, in the past, the idea that "forests belong to heaven" made many people mistakenly believe that they could be exploited at will. Currently, most ethnic minorities in the commune participate in contracting to manage and protect forests. In the Dung K'no area, where 95% of the population are K'ho, people are protecting more than 17,500 hectares of natural forest in the Lang Biang World Biosphere Reserve, with a coverage rate of 90%. On average, each household manages nearly 28 hectares of forest.
Revenue from the forest environmental service payment policy has helped people stabilize their lives and raise their sense of responsibility for the forest. Therefore, forest protection is still the top priority of Dam Rong 4 commune. Protecting the forest also means preserving the gong cultural space, preserving the source of raw materials for brocade weaving, rattan and bamboo weaving, protecting mineral springs and fresh air - important factors for developing eco-tourism and forming large-scale sturgeon farming areas in the future. When people unite to protect the forest, it means they also create a strong "fence", contributing to keeping peace for the village and the whole Dam Rong 4 area.
According to Tran Phu Vinh, Secretary of the Commune Party Committee, to maintain political stability and social order, it is necessary to ensure comprehensive and effective social security for the practical benefit of the people. The commune is focusing on widely disseminating the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws; at the same time, improving the quality of service to the people in all areas. The locality also effectively mobilizes resources to care for and improve the health, stature, longevity and quality of life of the people. At the same time, it is necessary to well implement policies for people with meritorious services, gratitude work, gender equality, care for the elderly, people with disabilities, children, and other insurance and social security policies.
Starting with many difficulties, the clear identification of 3 specific "strategic attacks" has helped Dam Rong 4 open the path to stability and gradual development.
