In Huong Tra ward, National Highway 1A is currently flooded to a depth of over 0.5m. Widespread flooding is occurring in the following residential areas: Lai Thanh 1, Lai Thanh 2, Son Cong 1, Giap Ba, Giap Tu, 4, 5, 7, Long Khe… with flood levels ranging from 0.5 to 1.5m.
Several inner-city roads such as Song Bo, Tran Quoc Tuan, Ly Thai Tong, Buu Ke... were flooded with water levels exceeding 0.5m. The Ton That Bach road, in particular, was flooded with water levels exceeding 1.5m for nearly 1km.
Due to deep flooding and strong currents, the Huong Tra Ward Police proactively coordinated with the City Police's Traffic Police to reroute, regulate, and guide people to safely navigate National Highway 1A through the flooded area.

“In addition to regulating traffic, the force also called on several trucks and buses to assist in transporting two patients over 60 years old to Hue Central Hospital Zone 2 and helping those who were stranded get home safely. We would like to acknowledge and thank the kind actions of these drivers,” Lieutenant Colonel Hoang The Anh, Head of Huong Tra Ward Police, shared.
By 5 PM on October 27th, the Huong Tra Ward Police continued to coordinate and assist residents in relocating to safe areas. According to the plan, 188 households in the ward needed to be relocated. To date, 50 households/196 people have been relocated.
Earlier that morning, Major General Nguyen Thanh Tuan, Standing Committee member of the City Party Committee and Director of the City Police, inspected and checked the work of ensuring security and order, and rescue operations in Huong Tra ward. He also visited and encouraged the forces on duty and some households in deeply flooded areas, the elderly, and those with difficult circumstances.
