Specifically, at around 11:45 a.m. on October 26, Mr. Kieran Robinson (27 years old, British nationality) went to Ba Dinh Ward Police to report the loss of a Samsung mobile phone while visiting Ba Dinh Square.
Immediately after receiving the information, Ba Dinh Ward Police quickly deployed forces to check the places where the tourist may have stopped before, focusing on Ba Dinh Square and nearby attractions. Afterwards, the authorities found the phone that Mr. Robinson had left at the Ho Chi Minh Museum and returned it to the tourist.
Since July 1, after the two-level government model was officially put into operation, Ba Dinh Ward Police have found and returned lost property to 12 foreign tourists visiting and working in Hanoi , contributing to spreading the image of a friendly, safe, and hospitable Vietnam in the eyes of international friends.
Authorities also recommend that tourists put all important items such as passports, wallets, and phones in a chest bag with a lock to avoid losing property during the tour. In case of an incident, tourists should go to the nearest police station for assistance.
