Authorities break cabin to rescue driver trapped after traffic collision

On August 25, a leader of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Dak Lak Provincial Police, said that the unit had just successfully rescued a driver trapped in a serious accident that occurred on National Highway 1A on the night of August 24.

According to initial information, the above accident occurred at around 11:20 p.m. on August 24. At this time, Mr. BCL (born in 1994) was driving a tractor with license plate 63H-075.xx pulling a semi-trailer with license plate 66RM-000.xx backing from a gas station (in Binh Kien ward, Dak Lak province) to National Highway 1A. While backing up, Mr. L. collided with a truck with license plate 49F-004.xx driven by Mr. VTT (born in 1991) traveling on National Highway 1A in the North-South direction.

The collision caused the truck to fall into a deep hole on the side of the road and flip over. Driver T. was trapped in the cabin, while two other people in the truck were seriously injured and were taken to the emergency room by local residents.

Authorities are rescuing victims trapped in the car cabin.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Team of Region 8 mobilized 13 officers, soldiers and 1 fire truck to the scene to urgently carry out rescue work.

After many hours, the authorities rescued the driver trapped in the car cabin.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Do Van Thanh, Deputy Head of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Department, Dak Lak Provincial Police, at the time of the accident, the truck was overturned into a deep hole, surrounded by many trees and obstacles, the front of the truck cabin was deformed and severely damaged, making it very difficult to approach the victim and carry out rescue work. At this time, the authorities had to mobilize a specialized rescue crane to coordinate the work. After more than 2 hours of effort, persistently deploying many vehicles and equipment, the authorities were able to bring the victim trapped in the truck cabin out and take him to the hospital for emergency treatment.

The cause of the accident is being investigated by the authorities.
