Nikki Glaser is returning to host the show after a highly successful hosting stint in early 2025. "Hosting the Golden Globes is definitely the most fun I've had in my career," Nikki Glaser said in a statement when she was hired to host the event. The 2025 Golden Globes will attract an average of 9.3 million viewers, according to Nielsen, down slightly from 9.4 million in 2024.

The official nominations for the Golden Globes will be announced on December 8. According to Variety, the Golden Globes are often considered the biggest annual "party" in Hollywood. This is not only the first major awards event of the year, kicking off the awards season, but also the show with the most honored categories including movies and television.

The Golden Globes announcement comes as the 2026 awards calendar begins to be locked in more and more.
