Mr. Pham Van Dau, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee, Head of the Jury, awarded the First Prize to the work "La Han Pagoda - Blending culture and beliefs" by authors Giang The Chau and Pham Trong Nguyen (Chau Thanh district).
After the launch, the Organizing Committee received 99 entries from many subjects, from professional filmmakers, amateur film enthusiasts, to students from secondary and high schools in the province.
The entries are diverse in content, vividly reflecting the beauty of Soc Trang countryside in the process of building new rural areas, along with the unique traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities.
The content of the videos focuses on introducing customs, practices, festivals, traditional craft villages, typical culinary culture and people of Soc Trang.
Many works clearly depict the changes in the countryside, the development of craft villages such as weaving, making flat rice, etc., thereby contributing to promoting the local image and promoting community tourism .
Mr. Lam Thanh Dung, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, awarded the Second Prize to author Huynh Thien Nhan.
In his concluding remarks, Mr. Pham Van Dau, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Soc Trang province, Head of the contest's jury, commented: In general, the entries fully and vividly reflected the positive changes in rural tourism in Soc Trang province during the implementation of the province's National Target Program on New Rural Development for the 2023-2025 period.
The works demonstrated the dedication and creativity of the performers. Most of the works met the requirements and rules set by the Organizing Committee, showing seriousness and compliance with regulations.
Many works have demonstrated new discoveries, exploiting unique and little-known aspects of Soc Trang culture and people. The elaborate investment in the filming and editing process shows the authors' dedication.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Chien, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, awarded the Third Prize to the authors and groups of authors.
High-quality video clips demonstrate topicality, accuracy and generality about tourist destinations, contributing to effectively conveying messages to viewers.
In particular, the video editing skills of many authors are highly appreciated. The attractive commentary, clear and fluent voice increase the appeal of the video. The beautiful, bright, professionally processed visual effects, suitable for the introductory content, create a strong impression of the local landscape and culture.
Mr. Pham Van Dau also added that many works have effectively applied modern technology in image processing, post-production and sound, contributing to improving aesthetics, professionalism and clearly expressing personal imprints. Many videos have achieved television quality, meeting technical and artistic requirements.
Through an objective selection process, the Organizing Committee awarded 8 prizes including:
1 First Prize : “La Han Pagoda – Blending culture and beliefs” by Giang The Chau and Pham Trong Nguyen (Chau Thanh district).
1 Second Prize : “Hoa Tu Communal House – A Place to Preserve Historical Memories” by Huynh Thien Nhan.
2 Third Prizes : “Traditional weaving village of Soc Trang” by Nguyen Hoang Buu Tai and “Vinh Chau Travel Guide” by the group of authors of the Provincial Police.
4 Encouragement prizes : Works from Chau Thanh, Ke Sach, My Xuyen districts and Soc Trang city.
Delegates and organizers took souvenir photos with the winning authors and author groups.
The contest is an opportunity to honor professional and amateur authors who have contributed to spreading beautiful images of nature, culture and people of Soc Trang to domestic and foreign tourists.
At the same time, this is also a practical step in the digital transformation process , applying technology to the province's tourism promotion work.
