Slight decrease in 2 southern provinces; Russian meat exports increase sharply

The latest survey shows that the price of live pigs today decreased slightly in two southern provinces, while the remaining localities kept the price stable at around 58,000 - 63,000 VND/kg; Russia's meat and meat products exports increased by 16% in the first 9 months of 2024.

*Pig price in the North:

According to records, the price of live pigs in the Northern region today remains stable at around 61,000 - 63,000 VND/kg.

Of which, Lao Cai and Ninh Binh are the two provinces purchasing at 61,000 VND/kg, the lowest in the region. The price of live pigs in the remaining localities fluctuates from 62,000 - 63,000 VND/kg.

* Pig price in the Central Highlands region

The Central Highlands market has not had any new adjustments this morning.

Accordingly, traders in this area are purchasing live pigs at 58,000 - 61,000 VND/kg. Of which, Dak Lak is currently the only province with the price of 58,000 VND/kg, the lowest in the country.

*Pig price in the Southern region

In the Southern region, prices slightly decreased in Bac Lieu and Ca Mau, to 60,000 VND/kg and 61,000 VND/kg, respectively.

Currently, live pigs in this area are being sold at prices ranging from 59,000 - 62,000 VND/kg. Of which, Dong Thap, Can Tho and Soc Trang are the localities with the highest prices in the region, reaching 62,000 VND/kg.

* In the first 9 months of 2024, Russia's meat and meat products exports reached 570,000 tons, an increase of 16% over the same period in 2023.

According to forecasts from the Russian Agricultural Bank, this volume could reach 800 thousand tons for the first time by the end of this year.

Supply is not only limited to carcasses and butcher shops, but also meat products are growing strongly, contributing to increased profits for Russian suppliers and producers.
