Supervising the settlement of complaints, denunciations and petitions of citizens at the People's Court of Duong Kinh District

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of January 5, the Thematic Supervision Delegation of the Standing Committee of the City People's Council, led by Comrade Pham Quoc Ka, Head of the Legal Committee of the City People's Council, worked with the People's Court of Duong Kinh District on the settlement of complaints, denunciations and petitions of citizens. Also attending were representatives of relevant departments, branches and units.

In the past time, the leaders of the People's Court of Duong Kinh District have thoroughly grasped and seriously implemented the documents of the Party, the State and the Courts at higher levels on the work of receiving citizens and handling complaints and denunciations according to Directive No. 35-CT/TW of the Politburo on strengthening the leadership of the Party in the work of receiving citizens and handling complaints and denunciations. Due to the good performance of the work of receiving citizens, in the past 2 years, the People's Court of Duong Kinh District has not received any complaints or denunciations against cadres, civil servants and employees that must be handled and resolved according to the Law on Complaints and the Law on Denunciations and has only received and resolved 02 complaints that were handled and resolved according to the provisions of the Civil Procedure Code. After receiving and resolving the complaints, all parties withdrew their complaints.

At the meeting, the People's Court of Duong Kinh District proposed to increase the organization of many propaganda sessions, popularize andeducate the people about the law on handling complaints, denunciations and receiving citizens in many diverse forms; have regulations on adding a permanent judicial support police force at the Court during working hours to ensure increased security for the Court when performing the task of receiving citizens...

Through monitoring records, listening to reports and opinions, the Supervisory Delegation assessed that the citizen reception rooms at the People's Court of Duong Kinh District were conveniently arranged, ensuring facilities and other conditions for citizen reception, so that citizens could easily and conveniently present their complaints, denunciations, recommendations and reflections; citizen reception work was organized and implemented in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Citizen Reception; the work of handling complaints and denunciations basically strictly followed the regulations. The Supervisory Delegation requested the unit to promote the achieved results, maintain operational order, overcome difficulties, and further improve the effectiveness of coordination between agencies to continue to complete all assigned tasks in 2024 and the following years.
