Down on Shanghai Stock Exchange

On the morning of October 16, rubber prices on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) all decreased, while rubber prices on the Tocom exchange continued to fluctuate in opposite directions.

World rubber price

World rubber prices, at Tocom exchange, RSS3 rubber price for November rubber contract remained stable at 408.2 yen/kg; January 2025 contract at 392.6 yen/kg, up 0.15% from the previous trading session.

On the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE), the price of natural rubber for November delivery was traded at 16,955 yuan/ton, down 0.21%; the contract for January 2025 delivery also decreased 0.14% to 18,250 yuan/ton; the contract for March 2025 delivery also decreased 0.19% to 18,355 yuan/ton; the contract for April 2025 delivery decreased 0.65% to 18,340 yuan/ton.

China is considering plans to issue an additional 6 trillion yuan ($850 billion) in special treasury bonds over the next three years, a move aimed at supporting the struggling economy through expanded fiscal stimulus, Caixin Global reported.

Beijing has previously pledged to "significantly increase" public debt to revive its sluggish economy, but has not been clear about the size and timing of the stimulus package.

China's export growth slowed sharply in September, and imports unexpectedly slowed, much less than forecast, suggesting manufacturers are cutting prices to clear inventories ahead of higher new tariffs from some trading partners.

Domestic rubber price

Today's latex purchase price at Mang Yang Rubber Company: Type 1 latex: 447 VND/TSC/kg; Type 2 latex: 443 VND/TSC/kg; Type 1 mixed latex: 461 VND/DRC/kg; Type 2 mixed latex: 406 VND/DRC/kg.

Phu Rieng Rubber Company increased by 10 dong today: latex price: 495 dong/TSC/kg; mixed latex price: 455 dong/DRC/kg

Ba Ria Rubber Company today: Purchase price of latex: 450 VND/TSC/kg applies to TSC from 30 and above; 445 VND/TSC/kg applies to TSC from 25-29; 440 VND/TSC/kg applies to TSC from 20-24.

Mixed latex: Raw latex, cup latex with DRC 50% is priced at 21,000 VND/kg; raw latex; cup latex with DRC 45-49% is priced at 19,500 VND/kg; cup latex with DRC 35-45% is priced at 15,700 VND/kg.

Price at Binh Long Rubber Company: Water latex: 386-396 VND/TSC; mixed latex with 60% DRC is 14,000 VND/kg.
