But when I called composer Trần Đức Minh, he misheard it as 'Sing My Sol '. I thought, 'Wow, that's such a great name (the note 'sol' is the same as the composer's name) and decided to use it as the album title," Giáng Son shared.

Giáng Son is not unfamiliar with performing on stage. She is a former member of the band Năm Dòng Kẻ.   She sang in that group for many years. But Giáng Son shared: "At that time, I mainly sang backing vocals. The other four members all sang solo, performing individual parts of songs, but I usually only sang backing vocals. I always considered myself a songwriter."

Now , Sing My Sol , with 9 songs composed by Giáng Son, will transform her into a singer. Singer Giáng Son also faced many challenges from her songwriter during the arrangement and recording process. "The songs I wrote are all difficult to sing, like romantic ballads. It's very difficult for mainstream singers to sing my music. My colleagues also said the songs Son wrote are hard to sing. Luckily, I chose these 9 songs, practiced them, and asked for advice from Mr. Trần Đức Minh to sing them with guitar accompaniment, and it turned out alright," Giáng Son recalled.

Lacking the powerful vocals of Tùng Dương, Hà Trần, or Nguyên Thảo, Giáng Son chose to pop-ify this jazz version of "Autumn Fades ." One of Giáng Son's most famous songs, "Midday Dream ," is also included. The album also features a song she wrote when she was 16, " Rain. " "Back then, I didn't know anything about love, I just liked a guy, but everyone said the song sounded very tormented, agonizing, and painful…," Giáng Son said.
