Exchange of border guards, teachers and students between Vietnam and Laos

On November 10, at border marker 591, Huong Lap Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Border Guard) coordinated with Border Guard Company 321 (Savannakhet Provincial Military Command, Laos) to organize exchanges, share experiences and give gifts to border guards, teachers and students of La Co Ethnic Boarding Secondary School (Sepon District, Savannakhet Province) and Huong Viet Primary and Secondary School (Huong Hoa District, Quang Tri Province).

At the program, Huong Lap Border Guard Station presented 300 warm winter blankets, 383 life jackets, 200 pairs of sandals, 800 kg of rice... with a total value of over 120 million VND to the people of La Co Hamlet Cluster, Border Guard Company 321, officers, teachers and students of Huong Viet Primary and Secondary School and La Co Ethnic Boarding Primary and Secondary School and households with especially difficult circumstances of Huong Viet commune, La Co Hamlet Cluster.

This is an activity to build a special friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos, between Quang Tri-Savannakhet, between Huong Hoa-Sepon. The model, when replicated across the entire border, will contribute to protecting border sovereignty and strengthening the close relationship between border guards, teachers, students and people of the two countries. The above activities will help the border guards, people of Huong Viet commune, La Co village cluster to become more united, closer, and actively participate in mass movements to protect national security; self-manage border lines, landmarks, maintain security and order in villages... contributing to maintaining political security, social order and safety and developing the economy together. The program took place with many exciting activities such as reviewing the tradition of special friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos; exchanging some contents, coordination activities, border protection management between the two forces in the past time; Teachers and students of Huong Viet Secondary and Secondary School (Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri) and La Co Boarding Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities (Se Pon district, Savannakhet province) exchanged some experiences in teaching and learning; cultural, artistic and sports exchanges between forces...

Speaking at the exchange, Mr. Bun Lôm Su Pha Mi Xay, Deputy Secretary of the Se Pon District Party Committee, highly appreciated this program, because this is an activity to build special friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos, between Quang Tri - Savannakhet, between Huong Hoa - Se Pon. This model, if replicated across the entire border, will contribute to protecting border sovereignty and strengthening the close relationship between border guards, teachers and students, and especially the people of the two countries.

Colonel Dinh Xuan Hung, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard, emphasized that in order to strengthen the special friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos, over the years, Quang Tri Border Guard has paid great attention to taking care of units of Laos. In that spirit, each border guard station, based on the actual situation, proactively proposed and implemented meaningful programs and tasks.
