DTO - Recently, the leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the province and Professor - Dr. Kazuo Watanabe - Tsububa Plant Innovation Research Institute came to survey the lotus growing model in Thap Muoi district. Receiving the delegation was Mr. Dinh Cong Phu - Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee.

At the same time, Professor - Dr. Kazuo Watanabe informed about the demand for lotus consumption in Japan, quality requirements, and some products manufactured and processed from lotus that are popular in Japan.

During the working session, the delegation visited lotus products of Dai Viet Lotus Food Joint Stock Company.

It is known that this is one of the activities in the memorandum of cooperation between the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Tsukuba Plant Innovation Research Center, Ibaraki, Japan on cooperation in research, technology transfer and high-quality plant varieties serving agricultural development in Dong Thap province.
