Professor Jayachandra Reddy, former Director of the Center for Southeast Asian and Pacific Studies, Sri Venkateswara University (India), commented that under the leadership of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Vietnam's economy continues to develop, from an agricultural country devastated by war to one of the most dynamic economies in Asia.

Referring to the General Secretary's contributions to developing relations between Vietnam and other countries, Professor Reddy commented that with the "bamboo diplomacy" approach initiated by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Vietnam has maintained good bilateral relations with other countries.
