An old man in China received a statue of Guanyin for his birthday. The gift was from his cousin. After his cousin’s father passed away, he wanted to move to Myanmar. His cousin’s mother refused to go with him. The old man advised his cousin to go abroad and earn a living and not to worry because he would take care of his aunt.

Some time later, the aunt passed away due to old age. The cousin returned to China to mourn. Always appreciating and grateful to him for taking care of her like a mother, the cousin gave the old man a statue of Guanyin. He has displayed the statue in his living room ever since.
Later, when the old man’s children were in trouble, he remembered the statue he had been given and decided to sell it. Not knowing the price of the statue, he signed up for the “Treasure Appraisal” program.

From the outside, the statue is quite large. The statue is jade green, with an incense burner and two stone human statues at its feet. After examining it, experts have determined that this Guanyin statue is made of very rare jade, with every detail carved exquisitely.
Even the small decorative statues below, the stone statues of boys and girls, are made of jade, although not as rare, but still very expensive. The incense burner below is made of marble, inside the incense burner are several incense sticks carved from jade.

The key point is that this Guanyin statue is carved from a block of first-class raw jade. Experts say it is very difficult to find such a large block of green jade. Moreover, the jade is free of impurities, truly a top-quality product.
In particular, this jade block is also carved by highly skilled artisans into a sophisticated image of Guanyin, so the price is even higher. The Chinese believe that Guanyin Buddha symbolizes good luck, turning bad luck into good luck.
They estimated that, according to the current market price, the jade statue could sell for more than 20 million NDT (more than 68 billion VND). The old man never thought that his kindness would one day be rewarded, and even save his family from danger.
