Mr. Mac Duy Duong's double cassava root weighs 270 kg.

That is the cassava root of Mr. Nguyen Duc Tuyen's family, weighing about 360 kg, and Mr. Mac Duy Duong, weighing 270 kg.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Thai, Director of Hue Tri Agricultural Service Cooperative, in recent years, people in the residential area have applied many technical measures to plant, fertilize, and prevent pests and diseases for cassava. Thanks to that, the yield is also higher than previous years. However, in the locality, there is no cassava root that reaches the same weight as Mr. Duong and Mr. Tuyen's cassava roots in this year's harvest.

Many people growing cassava in Kinh Mon town also agree that these are the two cassava roots with the largest weight in the town up to now, because the average weight of a cassava root is mostly from 80-120 kg.

Kinh Mon town has nearly 230 hectares of cassava, grown on alluvial land areas outside the river dike, concentrated in the communes and wards of Thuong Quan, An Phu, Lac Long, Hiep An, Hiep Hoa, Pham Thai, Hoanh Son... This year's cassava yield is about 1.3-1.4 tons/sao, about 15% higher than last year. Kinh Mon town's cassava flour products achieve 4-star OCOP.
