Pursuant to Decision No. 615/QD-UBDT dated September 13, 2024 of the Minister, the Chairman of the Ethnic Committee issued a Plan to develop the Project "Review and comprehensively evaluate the provisions of the current legal system on ethnic affairs, propose adjustments, supplements and improvements to the legal system on ethnic affairs".

The general objective of the Project is to promptly detect illegal legal documents, propose solutions to overcome the situation of legal documents that are no longer suitable to reality, and those that are contradictory, overlapping, duplicated, or no longer applicable in practice...

The Draft Project also sets out 15 specific tasks to comprehensively review policies and laws related to ethnic minority and mountainous areas according to the topics implemented on the basis of ethnic policy groups stipulated in Decree No. 05/2011/ND-CP, the fields stated in Article 1 of Resolution No. 88/2019/QH14 and projects under the National Target Program on Socio -Economic Development of Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2030 period.

According to the representative of the Legal Department, based on the first Workshop to review and evaluate the provisions of the current legal system on ethnic affairs, and propose adjustments, supplements, and improvements to the legal system on ethnic affairs, the drafting agency has recorded the comments, adjustments, and supplements to the draft project.
