Mr. Ma Tuan Trong, Commercial Director of Grab Vietnam, said: "Grab is improving its technology to support its merchant partners, especially micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), in promoting their products and boosting sales on the Grab platform."
"MSME partners play a vital role in Grab's business. We understand that within this group, shop owners may take on multiple roles, from chef and order taker to cashier and even marketing manager. Therefore, they need a marketing tool that is easy to use, flexible, and effective. The Marketing Management feature is designed to meet these requirements, easing the challenges that Grab's merchant partners face daily."

The newest tool introduced in the Marketing Management feature is "Focus Campaigns". With this tool, Grab will select and deliver specially designed campaigns - usually running for a specific period - to help merchant partners optimize their visibility and improve advertising effectiveness on the Grab platform.
Through this tool, partners can "reserve" high-visibility locations on the Grab platform for their stores, increasing user reach and boosting sales.
Following its launch, the Marketing Management feature is receiving positive feedback from Grab's merchant partners. Grab's aggregated data for Q1 2024 shows that over 70% of merchant partners in Vietnam experienced this feature in the first month and continued to register to use it in the following month.
The launch of Grab's mobile Marketing Management feature for merchant partners also aligns with the mobile-first trend in Southeast Asia. In 2023, the number of smartphone users in Southeast Asia is projected to increase by 4% year-on-year, reaching 342.1 million, with an internet penetration rate of 88.9% of the total internet users.
The Marketing Management feature is Grab's latest effort to enhance support for its merchant partners in Vietnam, helping them optimize operational efficiency. Previously, Grab launched the "Menu Translation" tool for the markets of Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Singapore. This tool automatically translates menus on GrabFood into several popular languages, helping GrabFood restaurant partners reach a wider international customer base.
