GRDP in the first 6 months of 2025 increased by nearly 10%

According to the report of the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province, the gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in the first 6 months of 2025 is estimated to increase by 9.99% over the same period in 2024 - the highest increase since 2020. In particular, the industrial and construction sector plays a leading role with an increase of 17.15%, reflecting the effectiveness of new investment projects and the recovery of production and processing activities.

The above enterprises promote production and business activities to contribute to solving employment for local labor resources.

The service sector recorded an increase of 6.47%, showing a steady recovery trend after a period affected by household spending and market prices. The agriculture, forestry and fishery sector increased by 3.19%, playing an important role in stabilizing livelihoods and food security.

Despite the positive results, the Provincial People's Committee also pointed out that the disbursement rate of public investment capital is still low, there are difficulties in developing small and medium enterprises, and some areas such as OCOP and new rural areas show signs of slowing down. Therefore, the key task in the coming time is to continue promoting administrative reform, supporting businesses, and effectively exploiting growth drivers from industry, tourism and digital transformation.
