On June 25, the Department of Construction of Dak Nong province announced that it had completed the appraisal report of the project to repair and overcome incidents on Ho Chi Minh road from Km1900+350 to Km1900+650, through Nghia Thanh ward, Gia Nghia city.

Ho Chi Minh Road suffered a serious landslide in August 2023.

Accordingly, the project has a total implementation cost of more than 71 billion VND, 17 billion VND lower than the initial proposal of the investor. The capital is self-guaranteed by the investor and will be repaid through adjusting the toll collection time.

The landslide is more than 300m long.

As reported by SGGP, in early August 2023, the Ho Chi Minh Highway section passing through this area suffered a serious landslide, with an affected length of more than 300m and a subsidence depth of more than 3m. The incident forced 16 households to evacuate urgently, and at the same time, the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee declared a natural disaster emergency.
