Dong Nai mobilizes more than 91 billion VND to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses

According to information from the Provincial Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses, by June 2025, Dong Nai had mobilized a total of more than 91 billion VND in resources from many channels such as: Fund for the Poor, Gratitude Fund, savings budget, especially contributions from businesses and philanthropists to join hands in eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses.

To date, the province has supported the construction and repair of 579 houses, reaching 124.5% of the plan (465 houses), 45 days ahead of the province's schedule and 6 months ahead of the Prime Minister 's direction. Of these, 349 houses were newly built and 230 houses were repaired, providing solid homes for disadvantaged groups such as poor and near-poor households, meritorious people and relatives of martyrs.

The new houses not only meet the “3 hard” standards (hard frame, hard wall, hard roof) but are also suitable for the terrain, customs and daily life of the people. The program has become a bright spot in the province’s social security work, contributing significantly to the goal of sustainable poverty reduction and spreading the spirit of “helping each other” in the community.
