Da Bac Youth join hands to protect and care for children

Over the years, the youth of Da Bac district have continuously promoted their pioneering, voluntary and creative roles in participating in socio-economic development, environmental protection, especially in building facilities for children. The construction of playgrounds for children in disadvantaged communes is a highlight demonstrating the sense of responsibility of union members and youth for children.

Da Bac District Youth Union handed over the children's playground project at the cultural house of Ha hamlet, Dong Ruong commune.

With the spirit of "Da Bac Youth is proud and firmly believes in the Party", the Youth Union at all levels in the district has effectively implemented many meaningful youth projects. One of them is the children's playground project in Dong Ruong commune, an area with many difficulties and lack of facilities for children. The project has a total value of 50 million VND, including many play items such as swings, slides, seesaws, etc. Immediately after the handover ceremony, children were excited to participate in experiencing the games. The project not only helps children have a safe and healthy play space, but is also a vivid symbol of the feelings and responsibility of young people towards the community. This is also the result of the process of mobilizing social resources, connecting with organizations, businesses, and volunteer units inside and outside the locality. Da Bac District Youth Union has proactively acted as a bridge, designing a playground model suitable for local conditions, using environmentally friendly materials and ensuring safety for children. The playground was built from the opinions and needs of the people and children, demonstrating the spirit of "taking children as the center".

Not only stopping at building playgrounds, the work of caring for and protecting children is always considered a key task by the youth of Da Bac district. Along with the activity of giving gifts to disadvantaged students on holidays and Tet, the District Youth Union coordinates to organize communication on nutrition, prevention of drowning, child abuse and violence, and safety skills on cyberspace for students in the area.

During the 2025 Action Month for Children, the District Youth Union presented 120 gifts to students in special circumstances, demonstrating deep concern for disadvantaged children in society. At the same time, the District Youth Union implemented aneducational film screening program at 18 primary schools, integrating environmental protection propaganda, social practice skills education, history, compassion, and love.

In the context of increasing child abuse, school violence, drowning and negative impacts from the online environment, creating safe, educational and community-engaging playgrounds is of urgent importance. At the same time, it spreads awareness of children's right to play, learn and develop comprehensively, which is still limited in remote areas.

Along with continuing to replicate the model in areas with many difficulties, aiming at the goal of each disadvantaged commune having at least one playground for children, the 2025 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign is being implemented by the Da Bac District Youth Union, promising to have more meaningful projects and tasks, such as building "Charity House", "Youth Flower Street", supporting the exam season, organizing life skills classes, summer cultural classes for children in the highlands. In addition, Da Bac youth focus on maintaining and maintaining the operation of existing playgrounds. Local youth unions are assigned to monitor and protect so that the projects can truly be effective.

Comrade Phung Hoa Hiep, Deputy Secretary of the Da Bac District Youth Union, said: Youth union members and youths in the district have actively promoted the spirit of solidarity, creativity and initiative of the youth. From small tasks such as cleaning, planting flowers, to mobilizing funds, mobilizing partners, all are done with a sense of responsibility and enthusiasm. We always take the motto of action "Each youth union member and youth is a volunteer soldier" as a guiding principle. The children's playground project is a message of love and responsibility from the youth for children, contributing to helping children develop comprehensively in terms of physical and mental health.
