Hanoi: Details of names of wards expected to be established in 12 districts

The number of commune-level administrative units in 12 districts of Hanoi is currently 153 wards, after the arrangement it is expected to be 47 wards.

Ba Dinh District plans to establish 3 wards: Ba Dinh, Ngoc Ha, Giang Vo.

Tay Ho District plans to establish two basic administrative units: Tay Ho and Phu Thuong.

Hoan Kiem District will establish two basic administrative units: Hoan Kiem and Cua Nam.

Hai Ba Trung District plans to establish 3 basic administrative units including: Hai Ba Trung, Bach Mai, Vinh Tuy.

Long Bien District is expected to have 4 new wards: Viet Hung, Bo De, Long Bien, Phuc Loi.

The area outside the Red River dike of some wards in Hoan Kiem, Ba Dinh, Tay Ho, Hai Ba Trung and Long Bien districts is expected to be merged to form Hong Ha ward.

Dong Da District is expected to have 5 wards: Dong Da, Lang, O Cho Dua, Kim Lien, and Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam.

Bac Tu Liem District plans to establish 5 basic administrative units: Bac Tu Liem 1 (Tay Tuu ward); Bac Tu Liem 2 (Phu Dien ward); Bac Tu Liem 3 (Xuan Dinh ward); Bac Tu Liem 4 (Dong Ngac ward); Bac Tu Liem 5 (Thuong Cat ward).

After the arrangement, Cau Giay District will have 3 basic administrative units, expected to include Cau Giay, Nghia Do and Yen Hoa wards.

Thanh Xuan District is expected to be rearranged into 3 wards, with expected names: Thanh Xuan, Khuong Dinh, and Phuong Liet.

Ha Dong District will have 5 wards, expected to be: Ha Dong, Duong Noi, Yen Nghia, Kien Hung, Phu Luong.

Nam Tu Liem District will have 4 wards, expected to be: Tu Liem, Tay Mo, Dai Mo and Xuan Phuong.

After the reorganization, Hoang Mai District is expected to have 7 wards: Dinh Cong, Hoang Liet, Tuong Mai, Hoang Mai, Yen So, Vinh Hung, Linh Nam.

Hanoi City has a total area of ​​3,359.84 ^km2 , currently including 30 district-level administrative units (12 districts, 1 town and 17 districts), 526 commune-level administrative units (160 wards, 21 towns and 345 communes); the permanent and temporary population is about more than 8.5 million people.
