The Hanoi People's Committee has just approved the 2024 Lunar New Year holiday schedule for teachers and students at preschool, primary, secondary and high school levels.
Accordingly, officials and civil servants of the Hanoi Departmentof Education and Training, education and training departments of districts, towns and cities will have 7 days off for Lunar New Year, from February 8 to February 14 (ie from December 29, Quy Mao year to January 5, Giap Thin year).
The Lunar New Year holiday for students, staff and teachers of schools is 8 days, from February 7 to February 14 (ie from December 28, year of the Cat to January 5, year of the Dragon).
The Hanoi Department of Education and Training requests that units and schools pay attention to the material and spiritual lives of cadres, teachers, employees and students; carefully organize visits and assistance for cadres, teachers, and families who are beneficiaries of policies and have difficult circumstances.

According to the 2023-2024 school year plan approved by the Hanoi People's Committee, for preschool and primary school levels, the first semester starts on September 5, 2023 and ends on January 11, 2024, with a semester break on January 12, 2024. The second semester starts on January 15, 2024 and ends on May 24, 2024.
For middle school and high school, the first semester starts on September 5, 2023 and ends on January 12, 2024, with a semester break on January 13, 2024. The second semester starts on January 15, 2024 and ends on May 24, 2024.
For Continuing Education level, the first semester starts on September 5, 2023 and ends on December 29, 2023; semester break is December 30, 2023. The second semester starts on January 3, 2024 and ends on May 17, 2024.
