Japanese coach signed for another season
On the evening of July 10, the club's board of directors announced the decision to extend the contract with the Japanese strategist until the end of the 2025-2026 season.
This is a move that shows Hanoi FC's absolute trust in Coach Teguramori after what he showed last season. Under the leadership of the coach born in 1967, Hanoi FC played steadily and competed fiercely in the 2024-2025 V-League championship race, before finishing in second place.

Although he did not achieve the goal of winning the cup, the tactical mark and stability in the playing style that Coach Teguramori brought are undeniable. The 2025-2026 season has a special meaning when Hanoi FC celebrates its 20th anniversary - a milestone marking the maturity and affirming the position of one of the most successful football teams in Vietnam.
After three consecutive seasons of failing to win the championship, the Hanoi team is determined to return to the top of the V-League.
The club's management board expects coach Teguramori to continue to promote his experience and courage to help Hanoi FC overcome strong competitors such as Nam Dinh , Ninh Binh, Hanoi Police team or Viettel The Cong, thereby aiming for the 7th V-League title in history.
Coach Makoto Teguramori is not a strange name to Asian football. He once led the Japanese U.23 team to win the 2016 U.23 Asian Championship. Experience working in a modern and professional football environment in Japan helps Mr. Teguramori bring to Hanoi FC a scientific and methodical coaching mindset, especially in team organization and game control.

In terms of personnel, Hanoi FC currently has three foreign players in the squad: Hendrio, Daniel Passira and Luka Bobicanec. All three are considered to be players with good professional quality, contributing to creating the necessary momentum for the squad. In addition, the club is also in the process of completing the procedures to recruit a new foreign player. This player has been closely monitored and evaluated by the scouting team, and is expected to be in Hanoi in the near future to sign an official contract.
It is expected that in the coming time, Hanoi FC will continue to have friendly matches to review the force as well as test tactics. This is an important stage for coach Teguramori and his colleagues to complete the squad and aim for the highest goal in the new season.
