Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Quan - Deputy Director of the Hanoi Center for Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consulting said that the 2025 Exhibition and Fair in Me Linh affirms the position and enhances the value of OCOP products, handicrafts and craft villages in Hanoi, while contributing to the development of the production - consumption - promotion chain, exploiting the tourism market, promoting circular economy and community tourism.

On the basis of preserving traditional cultural values, the exhibition also creates more jobs, increases income for people, and at the same time realizes the goals of the New Rural Construction Program for the period 2021 - 2025.

This year's exhibition promoting and connecting OCOP products and Hanoi handicrafts is a clear demonstration of the capital's commitment to preserving and promoting the quintessence of craft villages, bringing the capital's OCOP brand far and wide, spreading the message of linking culture with sustainable development - Mr. Nguyen Quan emphasized.

This year’s event was held in Me Linh commune, a northern suburb of Hanoi, 26 km from the center, long famous for its unique craft village, imbued with the spirit of the Northern countryside. Through many generations, the people here have persistently maintained their craft, breathing life into each handmade product, each flower petal, each tree shape.

In particular, Ha Loi flower and ornamental plant craft village stands out with its unique tradition of growing and caring for roses, recognized by the Hanoi People's Committee as a traditional craft village since 2017. The brilliant rose gardens from potted roses, bonsai roses, grafted roses to hanging baskets not only bring income but also become a symbol of love for nature, creativity and determination to rise up with traditional crafts, creating a foundation for Me Linh to develop a model combining craft villages with tourism , contributing to building new rural areas.

In 2024, the Hanoi People's Committee recognized the Center for Creative Design, introducing, promoting and selling OCOP products and craft villages associated with tourism in Ha Loi. The center is not only a space to display products but also a place to exchange and share ideas between artisans and young people, encouraging the creation of new products suitable to tastes. The center is a bridge for OCOP products and Hanoi craft villages to get closer to domestic and foreign tourists, through experience tours and professional promotional activities, creating the premise for forming a sustainable chain of links from design - production - consumption - promotion.

With over 120 standard booths, along with many specialized display areas, the exhibition brings together OCOP products, handicrafts, typical products of rural industrial establishments, businesses and typical artisans. The event is not only a place to introduce and promote products but also a "creative playground", where design ideas are nurtured, unique products are formed, meeting the diverse needs of the market. Visitors have the opportunity to experience the quintessence of craft villages, immerse themselves in a unique cultural space and connect directly with artisans and businesses.

Through the event, Hanoi hopes to affirm the OCOP brand of the Capital, preserve traditional cultural identity and open up new trade opportunities, aiming to build a creative economy, associated with sustainable tourism. This is also an opportunity to look back on the journey of preserving and promoting the quintessence of craft villages, improving quality, building brands and expanding markets, bringing Hanoi products deeper into the global value chain.

The 2025 Vietnamese Exhibition and Market in Me Linh Commune takes place from October 3 to 6 at the Hai Ba Trung Temple Relic Site, a site rich in historical and cultural values.
