On the afternoon of December 17th, authorities were still investigating the incident in which a passenger car overturned near the Nga Tu So intersection (Dong Da ward).

Later that afternoon, many videos and images of the overturned car were shared on social media. At the time of the accident, many passersby witnessed the driver acting strangely; even as the car was overturned, he continued to ask other road users to move aside so he could turn around, his hands still on the steering wheel.
After the authorities arrived at the scene, the man still appeared disoriented, constantly rubbing his head and scratching his ears, his eyes repeatedly closed, and at times nearly falling.
Authorities conducted rapid drug tests and measured blood alcohol levels, but the results have not yet been released.

According to some residents, the incident occurred around 12:30 PM on the same day. The overturned car, bearing a Hanoi license plate, was traveling on Lang Street when, near the intersection, it collided with the side of another car (with a yellow license plate, used for commercial transportation) before overturning. The incident attracted many curious onlookers.
