Hanoi: Car hits motorbike, female student's leg severed

A traffic accident between a car and a motorbike just occurred on Nguyen Huy Tu Street (Bach Dang Ward, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi) leaving 2 people injured.

At about 1:15 p.m. on May 30, Mr. NSC (born in 1961, residing in Phuong Mai, Dong Da district) was driving a car with license plate number 30H-369.XX on Nguyen Huy Tu street (Hai Ba Trung district, Hanoi ) in the direction of Yecxanh.

When arriving in front of house number 34 Nguyen Huy Tu, car 30H-369.XX crashed into a motorbike going in the opposite direction driven by Mr. D.VH (residing in Dong Nhan ward, Hai Ba Trung district) carrying his daughter D.NPT (born in 2007). The accident caused Mr. H. to break his leg and T.'s right leg to be severed.

Car badly damaged

At the scene, the luxury BMW car and SH motorbike were severely damaged in the front. Upon receiving the report, Traffic Police Team No. 4 (Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police) sent officers to the scene to direct traffic and coordinate with the police to investigate the cause of the accident.

Initial checks showed the driver was not in violation of alcohol levels. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
