Hanoi launches general census of rural and agricultural areas in 2025

On the morning of July 1, in Quang Oai commune, the Steering Committee for the 2025 Rural and Agricultural Census of Hanoi city held a launching ceremony for the 2025 Rural and Agricultural Census.

Pham Hoai Nam, Head of the Population and Labor Statistics Department (General Statistics Office) and in charge of operating the Hanoi City Statistics Office, said that the rural and agricultural census is one of three statistical censuses conducted every 10 years.

In the 2025 rural and agricultural census, the whole city has 6,460 survey areas, with 1,325,718 households listed, 597,569 households have agricultural, forestry and fishery activities, accounting for 45.1%.

5,000 investigators, 409 team leaders, and nearly 200 supervisors at all levels conducted the census.

According to Vice Chairman of Quang Oai commune Dang Quyet Thang, Quang Oai commune was established including Tay Dang town and the communes of Chu Minh, Tien Phong, Thuy An, Dong Quang, and Cam Thuong.

After the administrative unit arrangement, the total number of commune survey areas was 65, with 12,936 households listed and 10,765 households surveyed in agriculture, forestry and fishery, accounting for 83.2%.

The Commune Steering Committee has identified the 2025 rural and agricultural census as an important political task.

After the launching ceremony, investigators went to households in Cao Cuong and Quang Huc villages to conduct the investigation.

The 2025 Rural and Agricultural Census collects basic information on agriculture, forestry, fisheries and rural areas to serve the compilation of national statistical indicators; compiles socio -economic indicators to assess the current situation, analyze change trends, develop plans and strategies for rural development, agricultural, forestry and fishery sectors...

The survey results will be an important database for sustainable development policy planning in the new period.

The survey contents are the current status of agricultural, forestry and fishery production; the current status of rural areas; information on rural residents.

Statistical indicators by date July 1, 2025. Statistical indicators by period are collected according to the number arising in the 12 months before the survey time; or the official number in 2024...

The maximum time for collecting information at the investigation site is 30 days, from July 1 to July 30.
