Recently, the Anti-Smuggling Investigation Department (Customs Department) has coordinated with border customs units to inspect and detect many violations, notably cases related to fraud in origin and labeling of goods.
Typically, on October 22, at Huu Nghi international border gate (Dong Dang commune, Lang Son province), the Anti-smuggling Investigation Department (Team 1) coordinated with Huu Nghi international border gate Customs (Customs Department of Region VI) to inspect a transit shipment from China to Cambodia.

According to the enterprise's declaration, the shipment consisted of 39 items. The results of the actual inspection of the goods showed that, in addition to the 39 items consistent with the customs declaration, there were also a number of items not included in the declaration, including 4 items with signs of intellectual property infringement, including 1,800 pairs of Crocs children's sandals, 175 Louis Vuitton handbags, 65 Chanel handbags, and 125 Hermes handbags.
All of the above goods are 100% new. The Customs Department is continuing to verify and clarify signs of violations to strictly handle them according to the provisions of law.
Previously, the customs force promptly prevented and seized a shipment in transit from China to Cambodia through Huu Nghi International Border Gate, hiding more than 2,000 products, including shoes, backpacks, dresses counterfeiting Crocs, Nike, Balmain brands, with the words "Made in Viet Nam" on the product labels, along with 11,500 phone headsets counterfeiting OPPO brand...
According to the enterprise's declaration, the goods in the shipment include 15 items. However, the results of the actual inspection of the goods show that only 1/15 items are consistent with the customs declaration. Of the remaining 14/15 items, 8 items have declared more or less quantity than the actual goods, 6 items do not have actual goods.
In addition, the Customs authority also discovered 21 items not included in the customs declaration, of which 5 items showed signs of intellectual property rights infringement.
The Customs Department has issued a decision to impose administrative penalties with a total fine of VND 250.8 million.
