At this time, after receiving information about storm No. 3 that could affect the area, fishermen have temporarily stopped fishing at sea. At the same time, they have deployed towing and moving boats and fishing gear to high areas next to the protective casuarina forest and coastal routes to anchor, avoid the storm, and minimize damage.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung (67 years old, resident of Thien Cam commune) said that according to the initial forecast, storm No. 3 is very strong, moving fast and dangerous. Therefore, since this morning, despite the rainy weather, fishermen have urgently mobilized manpower, hired tractors to pull boats ashore, then tied them up to ensure safety.

Currently, there are 3,983 fishing boats registered in Ha Tinh province. The Border Guard Command of Ha Tinh province has been presiding over and coordinating with relevant agencies and local authorities of coastal areas to guide boats to anchor and tie up. The unit has notified, counted and guided 3,983 vehicles/10,994 people to understand the developments and direction of the storm to proactively avoid it.

As of now, there are 3,979 vehicles anchored at ports and yards (not out at sea). The remaining 4 vehicles with 15 workers operating at sea have also received information about storm No. 3 and are on their way back to shelters.

The Border Guard Command of Ha Tinh province also directed coastal units to strengthen inspection, control and strictly manage the departure of ships and boats; coordinate with local authorities to warn of dangers, resolutely evacuate people from cages, aquaculture watchtowers to safe places; at the same time, arrange ships and boats to ensure security, order and safety of property at anchorage areas and evacuation areas...
