The reason is that the lucky bill program is only for consumers. After reviewing, the Hai Duong Provincial Tax Department decided not to award prizes for 37 purchase bills that were not for personal consumption.
Thus, the Hai Duong Provincial Tax Department only awarded 7 lucky invoices out of 44 lucky invoices drawn in the first quarter of 2024. These were 3 third prizes and 4 consolation prizes, with a total prize of 10 million VND. These prizes were all awarded via bank transfer to the winners' accounts.
On the morning of August 9, Hai Duong Provincial Tax Department continued to organize the "Lucky Invoices for the Second Quarter of 2024" lucky draw. A total of 64,646 invoices issued from April 1 to June 30, 2024 that were eligible to participate in the program were automatically drawn and 44 winning invoices were selected, including 1 first prize worth 20 million VND, 3 second prizes worth 5 million VND/prize, 5 third prizes worth 2 million VND/prize and 35 consolation prizes worth 1 million VND/prize.
The winning invoices of the "Lucky Invoice of the Second Quarter of 2024" will be carefully checked and reviewed before being awarded to ensure that the program's goal is to encourage consumers to get electronic invoices.
In order to encourage consumers to get into the habit of purchasing goods, using services and receiving electronic invoices, from April 2022, the General Department of Taxation will launch the "Lucky Invoice" program for invoices with tax authority codes.
