(CPV) - At the International Invention Competition (Indonesia International IOT Olympad) recently held in Indonesia, Bao Loc city had 2 excellent middle and high school students winning Gold and Silver medals.
Lam Dong Province Departmentof Education and Training, on August 16, said: At the International Invention Competition (Indonesia International IOT Olympad) recently held in Indonesia, Bao Loc city had 2 excellent middle and high school students winning Gold and Silver medals.
That is Tran Cao Anh Khoa (class 9A8, Quang Trung Secondary School, Bao Loc city) participating in the competition in the Natural Science and Technology category with the topic and product Wifi - TRASHBOT - Waterbody trash picking robot with Wifi remote control (Robot picking trash on the river using automatic control connected by wifi). Surpassing hundreds of other contestants, this topic helped Anh Khoa win the individual Gold medal. In addition, Khoa and other contestants in Hanoi city also won the Special Prize in the team category in the competition.
The International Invention Competition was organized by the Indonesian Young Scientists Association and Syiah Kuala University in Banda Aceh, Indonesia, in mid-June 2023. The competition attracted 143 teams from 13 countries in 4 continents (Asia, Europe, Africa and Latin America) to compete. This is an international intellectual science playground, originating from the purpose of creating an environment for students to demonstrate their inventions and initiatives; thereby, meeting their needs to learn and explore the world in the context of the Internet and the increasingly rapid pace of technological change today.
After nearly 2 months of judging, the Organizing Committee has selected outstanding topics and products with high potential for practical application to award prizes.
It is known that in recent years, the education sector of Bao Loc city, Lam Dong province, has paid special attention to training and scientific research in schools, through competitions attracting a large number of students to participate. Along with that, many teams, groups, technical innovation research clubs, STEM clubs have been established in schools, with the guidance of teachers./.
