Two foreign platforms place advertisements that violate Vietnamese law

In recent times, the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information has strengthened state management of cross-border advertising service business activities to ensure the safety of brands and trademarks; at the same time, contributing to raising awareness of law compliance for domestic and foreign enterprises when participating in advertising service business activities in Vietnam.

Require international companies not to place advertisements that violate Vietnamese law

Through monitoring, the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information discovered that the advertising content of a number of brands was placed in content that violated Vietnamese law on cross-border platforms. The installation of violating advertising products was carried out by RTB (Singapore) and Dailymotion (France). This is an act of violating Vietnamese advertising law, greatly affecting the issue of brand safety and reputation of businesses that own trademarks placed in violating content.

Accordingly, RTB and Dailymotion do not place advertisements of brands in Vietnam on illegal content on cross-border platforms.

To ensure the safety of brands in Vietnam, the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information recommends that businesses use the "verified" content list (White List) and the "bad, toxic" content list (Black List).
