Hanoi issues list of relics, heritages, and constructions in need of protection according to the Capital Law

Kinhtedothi - On April 29, at the Special Session (22nd Session), the Hanoi People's Council unanimously approved the Resolution on Issuing the List of areas, relics, heritages, and works requiring concentrated resources to protect and promote cultural values; List of typical blocks and streets with cultural and historical values, List of valuable architectural works to restore, protect, and promote values ​​in Hanoi (implementing Clause 3, Clause 4, Article 21 of the 2024 Capital Law).

According to the resolution, the List of Tangible Cultural Heritage includes: a list of typical relics managed by the Hanoi People's Committee, including 10 relics;   List of relics recognized as special national relics, including: 22 relics; list of relics ranked at national level, including: 1,164 relics.

List of relics ranked at city level, including: 1,600 relics; list of ranked revolutionary resistance relics, including: 46 relics; list of locations with memorial plaques for revolutionary resistance events, including: 354 points; list of recognized national treasures, including: 34 treasures; list of ancient villages, including 1 ancient village.

List of Intangible Cultural Heritage: List of intangible cultural heritages registered by the United Nations Educational , Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) includes 6 heritages; List of cultural heritages registered in the National list of intangible cultural heritages includes: 42 heritages; List of craft villages, traditional craft villages and typical traditional occupations of Hanoi, including 182 craft villages, 54 traditional craft villages, 7 traditional occupations.

The Resolution also promulgates the List of typical blocks and streets with cultural and historical values, including streets in Hanoi's Old Quarter under level I protection and restoration, including: 21 streets; streets in Hanoi's Old Quarter under level II protection and restoration, including: 40 streets;

Street sections in Hanoi's Old Quarter of the street with many villas of special architectural value, including: 16 street sections; street sections in Hanoi's Old Quarter of the street with many villas of remarkable architectural value, including: 11 street sections.

List of other works of architectural value includes: list of architectural works of traditional houses, ancient houses, townhouses in Hanoi's Old Quarter with 209 works of special value and 318 works of remarkable value;

List of old villas built before 1954, including 222 villas in group 1 and 356 villas in group 2; list of public architectural works built before 1954, including 40 works of special value and 33 works of remarkable value.
