Considered an important launching pad to prepare the national table tennis team to compete in international arenas, the Nhan Dan Newspaper National Table Tennis Championship has been held for 42 seasons. In this 43rd season, the tournament promises to be very attractive and is an important step for Vietnamese table tennis to prepare its forces for the 32nd SEA Games.

On the afternoon of May 12, in Hanoi, Nhan Dan Newspaper coordinated with the Vietnam Sports Department (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), Vietnam Table Tennis Federation, and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City to hold a press conference to introduce the 43rd Nhan Dan Newspaper National Table Tennis Championship for the PetroVietnam -PVCFC Cup in 2025.

The 43rd National Table Tennis Championship of Nhan Dan Newspaper - PetroVietnam Cup - PVCFC will take place from May 17 to 26, at Tien Son Sports Palace, Da Nang City. This year's tournament brings together nearly 200 athletes from 21 table tennis delegations nationwide. The participation of strong teams such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Army, Hai Duong, T&T People's Police and emerging local delegations such as Tay Ninh, Tien Giang, Vinh Long, promises to create attractive matches with high professional quality.

Speaking at the press conference, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper Que Dinh Nguyen emphasized that this year's tournament promises new surprises and breakthroughs with the full participation of Vietnam's top athletes and many promising young players, which can create interesting usurpations and overthrows in the competition. "Athletes will compete in seven events: men's team - women's team, men's singles - women's singles, men's doubles - women's doubles and mixed doubles. The tournament is the basis for the Vietnam Sports Administration and the Vietnam Table Tennis Federation to select the top players for the national team to attend the 33rd SEA Games later this year and international competitions.

Among the faces participating in this year's tournament, the notable presence is the duo Tran Mai Ngoc and Dinh Anh Hoang (CAND T&T). Both brought home the historic Gold Medal (HCV) for Vietnamese table tennis at the 33rd SEA Games after defeating the duo Clarance Zhe Yu Chew - Jian Zeng of Singapore. Along with that, Nguyen Khoa Dieu Khanh ( Ho Chi Minh City), the young player who just won the 2024 Southeast Asian women's singles gold medal, is also a notable face.
