Hai Phong has 242 OCOP products.

To implement the OCOP program and preserve and develop traditional craft villages, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the city has recently issued a document to localities regarding the implementation of the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program in 2024, and assigned officials to participate in the district-level OCOP product evaluation and ranking council in 2024.

On the other hand, the department has coordinated with relevant units and localities to continue reviewing and guiding entities in preparing OCOP product evaluation dossiers according to regulations.

Quang Hai fish sauce is one of Hai Phong 's signature OCOP products.

To date, the entire city has evaluated 247 OCOP products, granted certificates to 242 products, and submitted 5 products to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for evaluation to achieve a 5-star rating. Of the 242 products that have been granted OCOP certificates, 219 products have valid certifications (including 66 products with 4 stars and 153 products with 3 stars), and 23 products have expired certifications.

Furthermore, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has recently focused on providing advice and guidance on the establishment of cooperatives in accordance with Plan No. 143/KH-UBND of the People's Committee of the city on the development of agricultural cooperatives in the period 2021-2025. Currently, there are 205 active agricultural cooperatives in the city; the department has submitted a report to the People's Committee of the city proposing a pilot model of agricultural cooperatives in restructuring the agricultural sector and building new rural areas.

The department continues to focus on promoting trade in agricultural products and implementing the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program.
