Implementing the OCOP program, preserving and developing craft villages, recently, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the city has issued documents to localities on the implementation of the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program in 2024, sending staff to participate in the Council for evaluating and classifying OCOP products at the district level in 2024.
On the other hand, the department has coordinated with units and localities to continue reviewing and guiding entities to prepare OCOP product evaluation records according to regulations.
Quang Hai fish sauce is one of the typical OCOP products of Hai Phong.
Up to now, the whole city has evaluated 247 OCOP products, granted certificates to 242 products, 5 products have been sent to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for a 5-star evaluation. For the 242 products that have been granted OCOP product certificates, 219 OCOP products have been recognized as valid (of which, 66 products have achieved 4 stars, 153 products have achieved 3 stars), 23 products have expired.
In addition, in recent times, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has focused on maintaining consultation and guidance on the establishment of cooperatives according to Plan No. 143/KH-UBND of the City People's Committee on the development of agricultural cooperatives for the period 2021-2025. Currently, the city has 205 agricultural cooperatives in operation; the Department has reported to the City People's Committee to propose a pilot model of agricultural cooperatives in restructuring the agricultural sector and building new rural areas.
The Department continues to focus on promoting trade of agricultural products and implementing the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program.
