Hai Phong temporarily seized hundreds of counterfeit branded clothing products

On the morning of August 23, information from the Hai Phong Market Management Department (QLTT), the unit has just directed the Market Management Teams to conduct surprise inspections of 6 business establishments with signs of counterfeiting protected trademarks in Vietnam in Le Chan, Hong Bang and Ngo Quyen districts.

Through inspection, the inspection teams discovered and temporarily seized more than 740 products including pants, shirts, shoes, sandals, etc. showing signs of counterfeiting famous world brands such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Christian Dior, Adidas, Nike, etc. The value of the infringing goods was nearly 200 million VND.

Currently, the inspection team has temporarily detained all of the above-mentioned infringing goods and coordinated with the representative of the industrial property rights owner to complete the dossier and handle it according to regulations.

In the coming time, the City Market Management Department will continue to strengthen inspection and handling activities to thoroughly prevent the production and trading of counterfeit goods, goods of unknown origin, and goods that infringe intellectual property rights...
