Hai Phong Customs: Import-export turnover reached over 18 billion USD

(HQ Online) - In February, the total import and export turnover of goods processed at Hai Phong Customs reached 7.8 billion USD.

In February, export turnover reached 3.97 billion USD, of which taxable turnover reached 28.03 million USD; import turnover reached more than 3.82 billion USD, of which taxable turnover reached nearly 1.4 billion USD.

Some important import groups had increased turnover compared to the same period last year such as: Automobiles of all kinds reached 79.51 million USD, up 9.74%; auto spare parts reached 27.21 million USD, up 0.91%; iron and steel reached 295.64 million USD, up 7.17%; cosmetics reached 1.15 million USD, up 29.71%; machinery and equipment reached nearly 1.63 billion USD, up 3.76%...

In addition, some imported goods had a decrease in turnover compared to the same period last year such as: Motorcycles reached 0.78 million USD, down 76.93%; Motorcycle spare parts reached 0.79 million USD, down 65.61%; Gasoline reached 19.7 million USD, down 61.43%; Beer and alcohol reached 0.59 million USD, down 44.98%...

Previously, in the first month of 2024, import-export turnover through procedures at Hai Phong Customs reached more than 1.88 billion USD, an increase of 47.4% over the same period in 2023.

Of which, exports reached nearly 5.5 billion USD, up 52.5%, of which taxable turnover reached 52.23 million USD, up 82.4%; import turnover reached nearly 5.4 billion USD, up 42.5% over the same period in 2023; of which taxable turnover reached nearly 2 billion USD, up 40.7%.

Thus, by the end of February, the total import-export turnover cleared at Hai Phong Customs reached 18.68 billion USD.

The reason the turnover in February is lower than in January 2024 is due to the Lunar New Year holiday of Giap Thin 2024.
