ABC News reported on August 8 that former US President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris have agreed to participate in the debate on the channel on September 10. In an announcement, ABC News said that Mr. Trump and Ms. Harris have confirmed their participation in the event. According to The New York Times, the 90-minute debate is scheduled to take place in Philadelphia and ABC News hosts David Muir and Linsey Davis will act as moderators. The New York Times quoted two sources as saying that the debate may be held without a live audience, the script and ground rules are still being developed. Earlier that day, during a press conference at his residence in Palm Beach (Florida), candidate Trump expressed his desire to participate in debates with his opponent Harris on September 4 on Fox News, September 10 on NBC News and September 25 on ABC News.
