The Buddha's Birthday is an important annual holiday, with special significance for Buddhists at home and abroad. Before the day of the ceremony, hundreds of people flocked to participate in preparing for the ceremony very carefully. Each person's job, from reception to service, was carefully rehearsed. Although it was hard work, it did not hinder the spirit of service of the masses. On the contrary, the working atmosphere became more joyful and exciting with the hope that many monks, nuns, and Buddhists would come here to attend the Buddha's Birthday in Buddhist calendar 2567.
Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Department of Home Affairs, Nghe An Provincial Police, leaders of Nam Dan district, monks and Buddhists inside and outside the province.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Buddhists sat down to listen to the sharing of Venerable Thich Chan Quang - Deputy Head of the Central Economic and Financial Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha about the meaning of Buddha's birthday, spreading the spirit of patriotism, contributing to building an increasingly rich and beautiful country with many profound cultural values.
The Buddha's Great Ceremony took place in a solemn atmosphere with Buddhist rituals. Especially the flower offering ceremony. The flowers symbolize the sincerity and solemnity offered to the Buddha. Thousands of Buddhists and monks and nuns lined up to offer lotus flowers and fresh roses to the altar with respect for the Buddha. This ceremony not only expressed sincerity but also commemorated his merits and wished to nurture the seeds of compassion and wisdom to blossom in the soul of every Buddhist.
The Grand Ceremony was a great success thanks to the participation of students, university students, and young people from many places. The organization was methodical, arranged according to the assignment of the leaders.
